We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our architectural products manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience operating press brake machinery and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication. This role is primarily responsible for operation and maintenance of press brake machinery and producing parts to precise specifications in accordance with engineering specifications and production schedules.


Responsibilities
  • Daily operation of press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts according to work orders and part specifications.
  • Conduct machine adjustments to settings to ensure produced parts match technical specifications
  • Conduct first article quality controls and in-process quality checks using calipers, angle gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret work orders and designs to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Keep detailed records of operations and production reports.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.

  • Troubleshoot forming issues such as incorrect angles, material deformation, or tooling misalignment.
  • Effectively monitor production equipment, perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment and report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production.
Qualifications
  • MBO or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of diverse production machinery (CNC, Laser Cutter, Press Break)
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers and angle gauges.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship an asset.
