Computational Design Manager

The job relies heavily on architectural design, computer software, 3D design and rendering, drafting, organizational and superior communication skills, strong internal team working relationships, general industry knowledge and growing Arktura technical knowledge, as well as a range of other abilities to keep various client projects moving at a rapid, yet smooth pace. The Computational Design Manager is always focused on supporting and achieving team results with an end goal of achieving full client satisfaction related to a projects design, development, production, delivery, and installation. The Computational Designer identifies key needs and opportunities to successfully complete projects, shares these elements with teammates, and drives toward completing various assignments.

Skills and requirements
· Have 2-5 years’ experience working in an Architectural Office or Fabrication Studio and preferably have a degree in the field of architecture, design/engineering.
· Any previous experience in Digital Fabrication - CAD/CAE/CAM/DfMA is highly preferred.
· A good understanding of architectural design and fabrication processes
· Expert knowledge of and experience with Rhino
· Comprehensive insight into tools and extensions found in the field of “visual programming” such as Grasshopper
· Experience with text-based programming languages such as C# and Python
· Have experience with architectural detailing, Illustrating the ability to produce and manage complex geometries is a plus
· Experience in construction documents and details, scheduling and management
· Critical and analytical skills and ability to do so in a team setting
· Ability to work independently & with a team to see a project through from concept to installation.

Practical requirements to add...
· Candidate must be based in Amsterdam or to have the possibility to relocate to Amsterdam.
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, any other language is a plus
